Membership Information

 

Companies that are licensed as long-term insurers by the Bermuda Monetary Authority are invited to join BILTIR as full members. Full members are entitled to attend all member meetings, receive a copy of the membership roster, vote at member meetings, and be involved in BILTIR’s advocacy efforts.

 

Those companies that are not licensed insurers may also join BILTIR as associate members. Associate members are entitled to attend all member meetings, receive a copy of the membership roster, and be involved in BILTIR’s advocacy efforts, however they will not be afforded the opportunity to vote at member meetings or hold board seats.

 

Money collected from the annual membership dues will be used to cover any expenses related to these advocacy efforts, professional services and ancillary administrative expenditures. 

 

Both full and associate members will have access to member-only areas of the BILTIR website and other valuable resources. Members are invited and encouraged to participate in BILTIR’s advocacy efforts for Bermuda long-term companies, covering Bermuda and international regulatory issues, tax concerns, and the coordination of efforts with other industry groups. Membership also provides opportunities for professional development and networking through our annual conference and frequent invitations to industry events.
